What a wonderful weekend we had!
September 11th &
12th, 2004 Here are some highlights: Saturday,
September 11 at 11 a.m. -
Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony Guest pastors,
Mitch Smith, Keith Stuarte and Pastor Hill, Stafford City Councilman Jeff
Smith, and several other key people, including architect Steve Upham, were
present at the actual ribbon
cutting, along with the congregation of Brighton Church.
Wonderful cookies and punch were served after the
ceremony. The KSBJ Family Fun Patrol was there handing out
prizes and broadcasting from their van!
Saturday
at 7:30 p.m. —
Proclaiming the Vision Guest speakers Mitch Smith
and Keith Stuarte encouraged the congregation
to continue to move in God's Will as a growing church and to take the
next step as a congregation. What is your burden? What is your vision? Our children
had a wonderful evening together doing arts and crafts
and creating fun projects.
Sunday,
September 12 at 10:30 a.m. —
Celebration Service After musical guests, Tapestry, played as people
entered our new foyer, our dynamic worship team lead the congregation in praise
and worship. After a special tribute to 9/11, Pastor Mark McClimens
dedicated the facility and taught us how to dedicate our lives to our Messiah,
His message, and our mission to spread that message. David Ello wonderfully entertained and
taught the children about talents.Tapestry
finished our service with lively Irish reels. A catered fajita lunch made it easy to visit with people
after the service.
