God's Love for You

"If you have trusted Christ's death on the cross for forgiveness of your sins, God has declared you to be holy, righteous, blameless, and perfect! If you were anything less than that, you would not be pleasing to Him to be His companion for eternity. This truth has been held by true believers throughout the ages. However, justification is often stated in ways that cause it to lose its impact. People seem to be saying to God, "In heaven, I guess this is true, but down here in the real world we just aren't that way." People probably respond this way because they are convinced their worth is dependent on their performance. But to God, our worth is established and secure because He has sovereignly imputed to us the righteousness of Christ.

Suppose Christ was seated in a chair next to you and someone asked God, the Father, "Which person do you love the most? Which person is most acceptable to you? Which person is holy, righteous, and blameless before you?"

God, the Father, would respond to each question the same way: "They are equally loved, acceptable and righteous."
God has chosen you (out of the world) to be His (John 15:19).
You are special because you are His. You have "royal blood" because you are God's own son or daughter (John 1:12).
You are holy and blameless because of Christ (Colossians 1:19-22).
Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God (I Peter 2:10).
God cares for you, loves you, and provides for you beyond what any earthly father does for his children. You are His and He is yours (I Corinthians 6:19-20)."
